After two sold-out performances in February 2024, Joel Zuma’s SO AMAZING is set to return for two unforgettable nights at the Joburg Theatre on 14 and 15 February 2025. This live musical tribute to the legendary Luther Vandross promises to captivate audiences with a celebration of love, passion, and timeless R&B hits.
Named after Vandross’s iconic 1986 ballad “So Amazing,” which earned a spot in the UK Singles Chart top 40 and a nomination for Best R&B Soul Single at the Soul Train Awards, the show will highlight the best of Vandross’s extensive catalogue. From his classic love songs to his pop hits, SO AMAZING offers an evening steeped in the magic of romance, making it the perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Joel Zuma, a respected South African performer with an impressive career, takes centre stage alongside his band to deliver a show that promises to melt hearts and set the mood for the perfect night out. With a rich musical background that includes performances with the likes of Hugh Masekela, Lira, Thandiswa Mazwai, and Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Zuma is no stranger to commanding the stage. His soulful renditions of Vandross’s hits such as “Here and Now,” “Power of Love,” “Always and Forever,” and “Dance With My Father” will have the audience singing along and reliving those unforgettable moments of love and loss.

In addition to the Luther Vandross classics, Joel Zuma will also perform some of his own original songs, including fan favourites “Ngimtholile” and “Thando Futhi.” With a full band and top-tier vocalists on stage, Zuma promises a dynamic and powerful show that will leave a lasting impression.
