Get ready to kick off the new year in style as the Intimate Evening Series, a collaboration between Liberty, GRIZA Enterprises, and Showtime Management, brings you an unforgettable musical experience. This year, the series will feature the legendary British hitmakers Soul II Soul for a celebration of reggae, R&B, and neo-soul. They’ll be performing in Johannesburg at Montecasino’s Outdoor Events Area on 01 February 2025, before heading to the iconic Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden in Cape Town on 08 February 2025.
Iconic Acts on the Lineup
Soul II Soul, the creators of timeless classics like “Keep On Movin’” and the worldwide hit “Back To Life (However Do You Want Me)”—which topped the charts in both the US and UK in 1989—are set to deliver an evening of nostalgia and pure musical magic. Their performance is a can’t-miss event for fans of soulful, upbeat music that crosses generations.
Adding local flair to the bill, TKZee, one of South Africa’s most celebrated musical groups, will also perform in both Johannesburg and Cape Town. This legendary trio, consisting of Tokollo Tshabalala, Kabelo Mabalane, and Zwai Bala, skyrocketed to fame in the 1990s with their groundbreaking hits like “Palafala” and “Shibobo.” Their fusion of kwaito, hip-hop, classical, house, and gospel, known as “Guz” music, became the soundtrack to a generation’s youthful exuberance. Despite the tragic passing of Tokollo Tshabalala in 2022, Kabelo and Zwai continue to honor TKZee’s legacy, bringing their timeless energy to the stage.
