If you’ve ever dreamed of exploring the Seychelles beyond the postcard beaches and crystal-clear waters, here’s your chance. The Seychelles Nature Trail Challenge is back for its second edition on 23 August 2025, inviting global trail runners and adventure lovers to experience the archipelago in its rawest, most authentic form.
This isn’t your average race. Spanning a 22 km technical course, the trail cuts through the island’s rich natural tapestry—from dense, emerald forests and dramatic rocky outcrops to serene coastal paths. Key highlights along the route include Cap Ternay and Mare aux Cochons, areas teeming with biodiversity and untouched beauty. Whether you’re in it for the competition or the connection to nature, this challenge is an unforgettable way to experience Seychelles.
Organised by Tourism Seychelles, the event is about more than just fitness—it’s a celebration of sustainable tourism and the island’s commitment to preserving its ecological treasures. By spotlighting Seychelles as an eco-sports destination, the Challenge also aims to draw conscious travellers who value experience over excess.
And when the running shoes come off? That’s when the island spirit comes alive. The race concludes with a vibrant cultural festival known as ‘Fun Fair-A’, where music, food, and traditional Creole culture take centre stage. Think colourful stalls, local delicacies, dancing, and that unmistakable island vibe.
Entries are officially open to international participants and will close on 1 August 2025. Whether you’re a seasoned trail runner or a wanderluster with a love for the outdoors, this is one to add to your bucket list.
