As social media now influences over 76 percent of travel decisions worldwide, this academy marks a major step in bringing structure, professionalism, and credibility to a career path that has evolved rapidly in recent years. From cinematography fundamentals to advanced post-production, AI-driven storytelling, and destination branding strategies, the program is designed to nurture a new generation of travel storytellers capable of positioning Dubai as a must-visit destination.

A Strategic Move to Lead the Global Creator Economy

Developed by the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing in partnership with the renowned media brand Beautiful Destinations, the academy offers a comprehensive curriculum covering:

Expert training in creating digital content for a variety of platforms
Cinematography techniques including framing, camera movement, and seamless transitions
Advanced post-production skills such as editing, color grading, storytelling, music integration, and sound design
Exposure to cutting-edge tools including CGI, artificial intelligence, and other emerging creative technologies
Audience targeting, marketing strategy, and engagement analytics
A deep dive into global tourism trends and destination branding
Professional ethics and the business side of content creation

Participants will receive mentorship from established professionals in the global travel space, and upon completion, a certificate of participation from the Dubai College of Tourism.

I first passed through Dubai last December during a transit stop on my way to Abu Dhabi. At the 1 Billion Followers Summit in January 2025, the city announced a dedicated Golden Visa program for digital content creators. Supporting this, the newly launched Creators HQ at Emirates Towers serves as a central hub offering guidance and assistance to up to 10,000 digital creators looking to establish careers in the UAE. Together with a Dhs150 million creative industries support fund, these initiatives demonstrate Dubai’s serious commitment to fostering a thriving creative economy.
