In collaboration with Diamond Power Pty Ltd, The Lux Collective will introduce LUX Xinii Mababe, the first hotel management agreement of its kind in Southern Africa. The resort will be nestled in the pristine wilderness of Mababe in the Okavango Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and diverse wildlife.
LUX Xinii Mababe will embody a unique minimalistic design ethos, with each of the 26 lodges featuring a striking centrepiece inspired by the indigenous African tree. A distinctive architectural feature of the resort will be its funnel-shaped roofs, a homage to the traditional design of the Okavango Delta’s Hambukushu tribes. This ancient method of rainwater harvesting not only aligns with sustainable practices but also integrates seamlessly with the natural surroundings.

The company is set to make its debut in the Middle East and Vietnam this year, further solidifying its presence in key global markets. Additionally, the group’s SALT brand will expand beyond Mauritius for the first time, with two new resorts planned for China.
