Arrival & First Impressions
Our experience began with a golf cart pickup from the main hotel, allowing us to take in the gorgeous scenery as we made our way to the boutique hotel, just 100 meters away. The boutique space feels more like a luxurious home than a hotel, with a collection of beautifully designed rooms and common areas that create an intimate and welcoming atmosphere.
At reception, we were greeted with warm smiles before heading to the common area by the pool—a cozy setting with chairs, tables, and even a stove for guest use.
The Suite: Comfort & Elegance
Stepping into our suite, we immediately felt, this space was made for us. The room was spacious and elegantly designed, featuring an open-plan kitchen and lounge, a dedicated work area, and a large balcony overlooking the lush garden. The bedroom was an absolute highlight, with an ultra-comfortable bed that promised the perfect night’s rest.
The bathroom stood out with its flawless lighting and modern design, making it ideal for unwinding. The suite also had everything needed for a home-away-from-home experience—fully equipped with a stove, utensils, a microwave, and more. Whether you’re a family, a couple, or a group traveler, these units are designed for both short and long-term stays.
Dining at The Avenue & Exclusive Executive Lounge
For dinner, we indulged at The Avenue restaurant, where the steak and prawns were a clear standout. The steak was incredibly tender, and the prawns were cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor.
We then ended the night at the Executive Lounge, a space usually reserved for guests staying on the executive floor—but we had the privilege of experiencing it. It felt like an exclusive airport lounge, offering a meeting room, a variety of gourmet snacks, hot meals, and an open bar.
Breakfast & A Spa Retreat
The next morning started with a delightful breakfast. I had an eggs Benedict with salmon—executed to perfection—while my partner enjoyed the full buffet spread, which featured everything from traditional breakfast items to freshly made pancakes.
After breakfast, we visited the Mangwanani Spa, located within the hotel, for a couples Himalayan massage. It was exactly what we needed to relieve tension and fully relax. The spa team was incredibly welcoming, and we had an insightful chat with both the spa manager and an on-site chiropractor—catch our conversation on our social media soon!
The spa itself is a true haven, featuring a heated pool, a steam room, a salon, and a nail bar. After our massage, we enjoyed a light lunch by the heated pool—a refreshing chicken wrap and Caesar salad—before stopping by the champagne bar, conveniently located nearby.

Floating Breakfast – A Bali Experience in Johannesburg
One of the most unforgettable moments of our staycation was the floating breakfast at the boutique hotel’s pool. If you can’t make it to Bali, don’t worry—Radisson OR Tambo brings the experience to you!
We were treated to a stunning breakfast spread featuring an English breakfast, a club sandwich, fresh fruits, smoothies, and a bottle of wine, all served on a floating tray in the serene pool. It was the perfect way to wrap up our stay.
