South African womenswear brand Miladys has officially unveiled its first-ever Store of the Future at Canal Walk, marking a bold new chapter in its retail journey. The milestone opening reinforces the brand’s commitment to evolving alongside the modern Miladys woman: confident, connected, and inspired by style that celebrates every stage of her life.
The new store embodies Miladys’ refreshed vision for experiential, customer-first retail, blending design innovation with comfort-led shopping. Featuring a modern, open-plan layout enriched with warmer textures, natural tones, and intuitive navigation, the space creates an environment that is both elevated and welcoming.
“At the heart of what we do is our customer, and our goal is to make her shopping experience uplifting and enjoyable,” says Natalie Wills, Managing Director at Miladys.
The Canal Walk store sets the tone for the next phase of Miladys’ brand journey. The design, led by National Visual Merchandising Manager Leigh Seager and The Mr Price Group store design team, balances sophistication and comfort, crafting a modern retail space that reflects the lifestyle of Miladys’ diverse audience.
The unveiling event, hosted by Head of Marketing Mateboho Marayi, welcomed media, influencers, and brand partners to explore the new store, followed by the Miladys SS25 Summer Resort Experience. Guests were treated to a warm welcome, with Vida e Caffè serving freshly brewed coffee and Sir Fruit providing vibrant juice pairings, highlighting the brand’s dedication to thoughtful, holistic experiences.
The afternoon SS25 Resort showcase, led by Merchandise Director Jocelyn Elliot, celebrated the season’s palette of easy elegance and effortless confidence. The collection captures the essence of South African summer, with fluid silhouettes, breathable fabrics, soft neutrals, and optimistic pops of colour. Guests enjoyed signature cocktails, crafted in partnership with Lucky Bird, adding a refreshing twist to the day’s festivities.
“This season was about capturing the ease of escape—the effortless resort feeling, reimagined for real life. We wanted pieces that move with her, that she can wear from a getaway to her everyday, with confidence and comfort always at the core,” explains Jocelyn Elliot.
